On your next trip into CVS this week, scan your CVS card at the magic red coupon machine and it should print out two great coupons that will make for FREE stuff!

I just checked my Walgreens this morning, and they were out of the eye makeup remover I prefer (they only had the oily 'moisturizing' left....yuck!).  BUT, they said this price is good all month long, as is the in-store coupon booklet.  So, I'll keep checking when I'm there and I'm sure I'll find it.

I haven’t seen these booklets at my store, but if you find it, you’ll actually turn this scenario into a $1 money maker! Be sure to add in a filler to absorb overage.

Magnificent Monday....Rite Aid & Kelloggs!

I started my day downtown with my amazing sister-in-law Tabrina, getting my hair done at her salon.  While downtown, I thought to myself, "I should stop by the downtown Rite Aid and see if they have the 'free' items in stock."  (especially since my 2 Meridian Rite Aid's are OUT of all the free items I want).  I stopped and was SO glad I did!  They had everything I was looking for:

4 bottles of Nivea Body Wash ($2.74 each with Rain Check) and I used (4) $3/1 coupons
6 boxes Tylenol Precise heat patches, on sale for $5 each, I used (6) $5/1 coupons
2 boxes Rite Aid brand Q-tips, on sale Buy one get one 1/2 price
1 Loofa (I need one for the body wash!)
I had (2) $4 Up Rewards from the Beauty Tool special last week, I used to both of them totalling $8.

These are $10 prepaid Visa cards from Kelloggs, to be used for Gas.  About a month ago Kelloggs was offering a $10 Prepaid Visa for 10 UPC's of select Kelloggs cereal boxes.  Couple that incentive with an awesome Albertsons sale, after coupons and 'doublers' I paid $.67 per box.  Paying $.67 per box and recieving $1 per box back from Kelloggs means I made $.33 per box.  Since the limit from Kelloggs was 5 cards per household, I made an order for 50 boxes.  (There are only 4 cards shown, because 1 is still in the mail)

We couldn't possibly eat 50 boxes of cereal before they expire, so we hapily donated 30 boxes, along with 9 gallons of milk (Albertsons was also running a 'free milk with the purchase of 3 boxes of cereal' promo at the same time....it was an amazing Albertsons week!) to the City Light Shelter for Battered Women & Children in downtown Boise. 

Total, I profited $16.50 off the 50 cereal boxes, plus we were able to 'share the wealth' with those in need....making for a MAGNIFICENT MONDAY!

I love having a few of these around for when I get a craving for Carmel Popcorn!  Here is my recipe (graciously given to me years ago by my friend Polly Jensen who is an amazing cook!)

Forever Gooey Caramel Popcorn
1 cup lite corn syrup
2 cups brown sugar
1 stick of butter (1/2 cup)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
3-4 bags of microwave popcorn

Pop 3 bags of popcorn.  Do not just pour the popcorn into a huge bowl, you'll get unpoped kernels that could crack your teeth.  I like to scoop the popcorn out of the bags by hand, only getting the stuff that actually popped.  Place all the popcorn in a giant bowl. 

Combine together butter, corn syrup, and brown sugar in a sauce pan and bring to a rolling boil for 3 minutes stirring often. Remove from heat and add sweetened and condensed milk. Stir together until it has been mix well. Pour the hot caramel over the popcorn, and stir until well mixed and coated.  Let cool and enjoy!!!

My Publix Run ~ Including $50 Gas Card!

First let me remind you beginning today at Publix, when you buy $25 worth of groceries (before coupons are deducted) you can give them the coupon below (no, don't print it from here, its in their sales flyer in the store) and get $10 taken off a $50 gas card.  So my goal was to just spend over $25 so I could qualify for the discounted gas card.
Here's what I purchased:
