This Week's Rite Aid Trip
I began the week with $5 +UP (from Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor) and $2 +UP (from Crest toothpaste) from last week AND a coupon for $3 off $15 purchase! My plan was to scour Rite Aid's ad focusing on what might be a money maker, what was free or what was pretty cheap. So here's what I got:
Crest Pro-Health Enamel Shield Toothpaste 4.2 oz $2.69
Accu-Check Aviva Glucose Meter $9.99
Benefiber Sticks 24 ct. $9.99
Subtotal = $22.67 (Over the $15 mark...thank you glucose meter! See note below.)
Coupons used
-$3 off $15 or more purchase
-$10 off Accu-Check Aviva meter, Rite Aid video values store coupon
-$1 off Benefiber product, Rite Aid video values store coupon
-$3 off Benefiber stick pack printable
-$5 +UP (from Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor, last week)
Total = $.67 + tax
+UP rewards generated:
None of the products I purchased generated a +UP reward.
Single Check Rebate (entered information from receipt onto Rite Aid's website):
Rebate #6 - Crest Pro-Health Enamel Shield Toothpaste, 4.2 oz qualifies for $2.69 rebate!
Rebate #20 - Purchase Benefiber 62 Dose, Chewable Tablets 100 ct., Packets 28 ct., or Sticks 24 ct. qualifies for $3 rebate!
Began the week with $7 +UP
Out of pocket = $.67 + tax
Ended the week with $2 +UP (from Crest toothpaste, last week) and $5.69 Single Check Rebate!
Final cost per item after coupons and corresponding +UP and Single Check Rebates:
Crest Pro-Health Enamel Shield Toothpaste 4.2 oz = FREE
Accu-Check Aviva Glucose Meter = $.01 profit
Benefiber Sticks 24 ct. = $.01 profit ($9.99 - $1 off Rite Aid video values store coupon - $3 off Benefiber stick pack printable, - $3 single check rebate - $3 off $15 or more purchase coupon)
Note: If I had not purchased the glucose meter, my subtotal would have been $12.68 and I wouldn't have been able to use the $3 off $15 coupon. Since I had a $10 Rite Aid video values store coupon to pay for the glucose meter, I knew it was going to be free in the end. I just needed it as a "filler" to get my total over $15!
And that's why I buy products I don't need or use! Now...where to donate the glucose meter...
