Couponing at Walmart

"Low Prices Everyday" can also mean "never a stock-up price".  While it is true that Walmart does generally have low prices on most items, it's also true that they don't run sales or promo's.  So, what is a couponer to do?  LOTS!  Here is what I did this morning at Walmart in Meridian, Idaho:
Purchased:

• 10 Red Baron Pizza's (5 Cheese & 5 Pepperoni) everyday price $2.97 each
• used (10) $1 off ANY Red Baron Pizza printable coupon
• AND used (10) 'Twice the Value' albertsons double coupon (Walmart in Idaho will take Albertsons' doubler coupons)
• Resulting price: $.97 each!
• 1 box Cheez-It's Colby Crackers, everyday price $2.28
• used (1) $.70 off printable coupon
• AND used (1) 'Twice the Value' albertsons double coupon
• Resulting price: $.88
• 4 Vitamin Water Zero, everyday price $1.10 each
• used (4) $.55/1 coupon from Tearpad I saw at Maverick Gas Station this weekend.
• AND used (4) 'Twice the Value' albertsons double coupons
• Resulting price: FREE
• Alkaseltzer & Alkaseltzer Plus Night Time Relief, Everyday prices are $2.98 & $5.77 = $8.75
• used $3 off the purchase of any Alkaseltzer AND Alkaseltzer Plus products
• Resulting price: $5.75 for both
• 5 tubes of K-Y Jelly, everyday price $2.62 each
• used (5) $3/1 KY product printable
• Resulting price: $.38 money maker each = $1.90 Money Maker!
• 1 Cherry Chip Cake Mix (It's my son's 11th birthday tomorrow, and Cherry is his favorite!), everyday price: $.97
• I had no coupons for this one
• 1 bottle Immitation Cherry Extract (he likes the frosting to be cherry flavored too.  I'm just thrilled he likes my cakes the best!), everyday price $2.98
• no coupons for this either.  :-)

Total after 6% Idaho Sales Tax: $24.34

I'm not going to make it onto TLC's Extreme Couponing with a trip like this, but this is REALISTIC couponing. 

Walmart seems to vary by area.  In Idaho they take Albertson's doublers.  I've heard that there are some in Utah and Texas who double all coupons on Tuesdays.  Wherever you live, find out what your Walmart's coupon policy is and make it work for you.
